Empori, part of the Progrits group, has acquired the app and IoT company Tickoff. The acquisition strengthens Empori’s position as a comprehensive digital solutions provider for the automotive sector and expands Progrits’ overall offering within transport and logistics technology.
Tickoff is a Swedish IoT company that develops and delivers cloud‑based solutions for identification, access, payment, and operational control of various machines and facilities. Its systems are currently deployed across the Nordic region. Tickoff’s software and hardware integrations are primarily used in unmanned car and truck wash facilities, where end customers can start and pay for their wash directly through a smartphone. The platform also provides wash operators with insights and decision support around capacity, pricing, campaign management, potential operational disruptions, as well as automated invoicing.
For Empori, the acquisition marks a strategic step forward in broadening its product portfolio and strengthening its position within the automotive and fuel retail sectors. It also creates opportunities for new customer and product synergies within the Progrits group, where several companies operate in transport management and fleet management.
“We want to be an even stronger partner to our customers in the automotive and transport sectors, as well as to service stations. Tickoff offers an advanced and highly specialised product that complements our portfolio extremely well, and we also share a common customer base. Together with our sister companies within Progrits, we can now offer new digital solutions to industries such as haulage and logistics, where access to efficient wash facilities is an important part of optimising operations and planning,” says Robert Wedin, CEO of Empori.
Göran Nybom, founder and CEO of Tickoff, looks forward to joining the group.
“This is a very exciting step for us. We have built a strong product but have lacked the organisational capacity to scale, package and take it further. Together with Empori and Progrits, we now gain the right resources and capabilities to accelerate our growth and take the solution to new markets, including internationally,” says Göran Nybom.
